Well that was a waste of time. Wanted to see how the rubber was actually fit to the roof around the skylight as that would be tricky then how it gets finished off.

Just installed this. Looks really neat and although the gutter trim was hardwork, I found fairly liquid helped make the job easier.

This drip tray system is awful. Next to impossible to install

I bought and tried this kit. Cheap, weak and very difficult to install (especially the drip tray)

Haha no way is it that easy. It's IMPOSSIBLE to fit the drip tray after (even with 3 men trying to force it). Honestly a terrible product. You guys really need to redesign this. For the amount of margin you make on each kit you should really put some cash into a redesign.

Why folding it upwards? The rain is always come downwards. There will be a possible penetration because it might catch the rain. It is better to fold downwards or cut it in the middle then overlap it.

Ya hes missing his rpf strip for a tutorial thats obviously a mock up in his shop which purpose is to show you how to fabricate a corner not the field, gosh dang roofers just have to get their self worth by creating some flaw for others like a 5 grader cant do their job, like bro if you really were a competent human you wouldnt be a roofer

As with Roger L - i've got the 1.5mm rubber and is nearly impossible to get in the groove. i've managed some bits but where there is a an even thicker seam I can't see how it's possible. It's cracked part of the securing strip too. i'm thinking heat gun or even sand the seams thinner.

how do you do it when it's a replace job though and the pipework is already there. meaning you can't slide over the top 🤔

I usually use the Firestone system, I’ve got to say the two are identical I don’t o ow if that’s because they are actually the same product? The only thing I noticed different was the plastic backing film on the first flashing... I once rectified a job done after a cowboy had been up there, two days after it had been fitted.. an absolute mess... I thought the system he had used was Firestone except the flashings he had left behind had the plastic instead of paper foils... epdm gets too much stigma on these videos because idiots like the one mentioned above think it’s easy to do...

That's shite looking, why is the patch not placed underneath first and then all else flashed over and covered,that's would drive me mad.

Do not buy this crap! The adhesive is not holding the membrane! And the worst part is that you won't get any support if you have any problems! The Hertalan will simply ignore your emails, that is what happened to me.

Again no close-ups in this video. Not particularly professional or instructional. Should be part of the video showing (not very well, either) the installation of the back-plate.

You can't even see which way up on this! Something more professional with close ups would help. Also, it's a really short video. Most people would rather half of it wasn't taken up by showing some screws being screwed partially, then fully in. I'd rather see something done more professionally. Also, the second video showing the drip plate installation should be included in this video as most people will not want to do one without doing the other. One other thing, 10% of this video is the logo and re-stating the video title!

Try doing it when the roof is 20ft up in the air!

They make it look so easy, anyone who has used this knows its a lot harder to do, chances of getting the rubber square over a 20mt roof is slim, thats when they fuck up

Used this with the 1.5mm rubber. Nearly impossible to fit as the pressure needed to push the rubber into the groove isn't achievable by hand. Especially gard from above. Ended up using a wood working clamp to hold in place and tapping in with a hammer.

its easy to do it on a floor but when you laying the whole roof and around the roof windows this is hard. This video is showing the easy part. Can you show us how to do the external corners.

Wouldn't it be better if the corner seal patch went on before the upstand no?

It's a roof, why wouldn' t you just tar it? It seems tar would seal more efficient.

I would have folded the flap down
